Wilson Sonsini Advises Bia Energy on $8.5 Million Bridge Round

On November 26, 2024, Colombia-based Bia Energy announced that it completed a $8.5 million bridge investment round led by RA Capital Management Planetary Health and IDB Lab, the innovation and venture capital arm of the Inter-American Development Bank. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Bia Energy on the transaction.

The investment also resulted in Bia Energy adding "green" partners to its investor roster. The additional capital increases the company's total financing to $31 million.

The Wilson Sonsini team that advised Bia Energy on the transaction includes Matt Squires, Jose Corte-Real, and Luis Fortuño.
