On June 8, 2022, Multiverse, a UK start-up that works with organizations to develop apprenticeships and helps source promising, diverse candidates to fill those roles, announced it has raised $220 million in its Series D funding round. The financing was co-led by StepStone Group, and returning investors Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. The round brings Multiverse's total funding to date to over $400 million. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Multiverse on the transaction.
Proceeds from the financing will be used to accelerate U.S. expansion and broaden the range of learning programs, creating more routes to career progression for apprentices and helping organizations close digital skills gaps across their workforce. Multiverse has grown nine times in two years and the company currently trains professional apprentices with over 500 organizations globally.
The London-based Wilson Sonsini team that advised Multiverse on the financing included Dan Glazer, Michael Labriola, Diviya Padman, Alex Moffitt, David Patterson, James Clessuras, Kimberley Biagioli, with support from Taylor Wessing.
